||Initially trained in experimental psychology, I taught arts and crafts in elementary school and in the community for many years before embarking on an independent career in design and fine art.

||My designs are as eclectic as my interests, which range from music to needlework to gardening to physics.
|My Source of Inspiration
||I love to play with geometric variations. Line and texture are also very important to me.

|American designs reflect many ethnic roots. My own heritage is a mixture of English, Czech, Italian, German, and Slovenian ancestors.
|Besides patterns I design
||I create fine art, working mainly in charcoal and painterly collage. I also like to knit and to spin my own yarns.
